New SocialVentures board appointments announced
SocialVentures is proud to announce the appointment of six new members to the SocialVentures Board of Directors. Joining the board, effective Feb. 1, are Ian Bailey, Seth Cramer, Derek DeHart, Jenna Mackey, Kimberly Tapia, and Donald Wells.
The new members will serve under Board Chair Andrea Applegate.
“We are thrilled,” Applegate said, “to have such an impressive set of leaders and professionals to help guide the organization into the future.”
According to Allen Proctor, SocialVentures president and CEO, the organization aims to have a diverse board, with varying degrees of experience and a wide array of ages, genders, and ethnicities.
“With these additions to our board,” Proctor said, “we add experience and skills in areas critical to the success of social entrepreneurs. We’re particularly proud of the fact that one-third of the board are young professionals, who also are the majority of the social entrepreneurs we support and future of the social-enterprise movement.”
