SocialVentures Internship Program

About the Program:

The SocialVentures Internship Program is an opportunity for motivated students to work with a Columbus social enterprise. Students will gain work experience and leadership skills while host organizations will make valuable progress towards their social missions. During the internship, students will work on projects, receive education on social enterprise, and get leadership training and networking opportunities.

During the 12-week program, intern fellows will participate in an orientation on what social enterprise is, the basics of formation and the impact these businesses are having. They will then be matched with a local social enterprise to work 10 hours a week (10 weeks total). In addition to on-the-job training, fellows will participate in leadership development programs, attend selected community events, and document their internship through social media. After successful completion of requirements, students will receive a stipend and certificate of completion.

The Application Process:

Apply for the program using the link below.  Finalists will be asked to schedule an interview with SocialVentures executive staff. Then, taking into account qualifications, interests, and preferences, selected students will be matched with a Columbus social enterprise in January. See the timeline for more information.
